Yes, it is safe. A CBCT scan exposes you to significantly less radiation than a medical CT scan. Digital X-rays at Ultradent also use far less radiation than traditional film X-rays. We only recommend imaging when clinically necessary.

For complex cases — implant planning, wisdom teeth assessment, or evaluating bone structure — a 3D CBCT scan gives us information that a flat X-ray simply cannot. It allows for more accurate, safer treatment and significantly reduces the risk of complications.
